air is such a banger! personally i think the vocal direction could've been a bit better as yeji's voice sometimes comes on a bit too strong for the beat, but i think it still works quite well - i just find it a bit jarring. but that BEAT man!!!! i also wish she did more dance work here - it's a dance track, why not flex some sick choreography while you're at it?
yeahhh the jennie songs are pretty grating. i haven't listened to the album and i did like extraL but mostly because of the doechii feature. i love jennie's voice but her current direction likely isn't for me. you're very right on all the cultural appropriation too. definitely hope jennie does the bare minimum and improves on that in her presentation with all that's resurfaced
i remember i was going to listen to blind eyes red but i closed the tab for some reason?! your review mentioning 2010s R&B definitely motivates me to check it out though. i've seen some clips of the MV too and it looks so visually appealing.
